Welcome

Queer Theatre, is an award-winning, South London-based theatre company. We tell LGBTQIA+ stories, nurture queer talent and create creative spaces where professional and amateur Queer artists can grow and belong, regardless of our differences. We seek what connects us rather than what divides us. Our work may challenge us as artists, but our spaces will always be founded on mutual respect, care, love and support. Above all, we are building a community in which no queer performing artist ever need spend a week alone again.

We work with venues in South London and the West End, bringing this purpose to life through our weekly Acting Classes For LGBTQIA+ People, London’s OutCast Showcase of Queer Actors and Writing, monthly Queer Play Reading Club, The Show People Podcast LIVE, Luvvie: The Party for Queer People in the Performing Arts, industry workshops, masterclasses, pride events, trips and other Queer adventures.

Our patrons include: Sir Stephen Fry, Annette Badland, Pearl Mackie, Martin Sherman and Adèle Anderson. Queer Theatre was founded by award-winning director, activist and Artistic Director, Andrew Keates.

    Third Tuesday of Every Month
    The Railway, Clapham

    Share your writing with the group, read and keep a play published by Nick Hern Books and take part in a Q&A with the playwright, before socialising with other queer theatre-makers.
